Join us for the ribbon cutting on the renovated market on Friday, November 30th at 5pm! The Enrichmond Foundation is hosting a holiday-themed Grand Opening weekend, in conjunction with Main Street Station’s Illumination and Winter Market.
17th Street Market’s Grand Opening will feature ice skating, hot chocolate, live music, and twenty-two oak trees illuminating at 6pm. Plan on dinner at a local restaurant along 17th and 18th Streets. After 17th Street Market’s opening, head up to Main Street Station to see Santa, a Tuba Ensemble, and aerialist performances.
4:30 – 9pm – Holiday tree pre-sales (pick up on Saturday)
4:45pm – Emerald Society, pipe and drum band, begins playing at Rosie O’Connelly’s
5:00pm – Ribbon cutting ceremony, 22 oak trees illuminate, ice skating is open to the public until 11pm
6:00-9:00pm – Weekend Plans, brass band, plays
6:30 – 8:30pm – Free carriage rides, picking up at Franklin St (next to Cafe Clang)
7:00 – 8:00pm – Fire spinners perform
9pm – Grand Opening event ends
On Saturday, Shockoe Bottom’s holiday weekend continues with a Winter Market at Main Street Station and Christmas trees for sale at 17th Street Market. Ice skating will continue through the afternoon.
